While the best known UNIX variant is Linux, particularly on the desktop, the majority of the Internet and World Wide Web is delivered by servers running FreeBSD. Belying the obvious roots of our name, we migrated to FreeBSD some six years ago in order to leverage the stability, reliability, availability and security offered. It was with some satisfaction that we noted Apple's choice of a FreeBSD variant—DARWIN—as the basis for Mac OS X.

Yesterday all servers in the U.S. went out on strike in a bid to get more RAM and better CPUs. A spokes person said that the need for better RAM was due to some fool increasing the front-side bus speed. In future, busses will be told to slow down in residential motherboards.
